Natural stone requires regular maintenance and the maintenance varies depending on too many factors to mention. Stone showers, for example, will need more frequent and intense maintenance than a seldom used stone kitchen backsplash. Stone floors including slates, marble and travertine should be cleaned and professionally sealed every 2-5 years depending on foot traffic. As each stone is unique so are the options for sealing. Because stone floors vary so much it is important for us to see it firsthand for a proper evaluation.
